Took my 15 hp chrysler out of storage and hooked up the battery. Smoke rolled out from under the hood. Yes the battery was connected correctly.
The two starter interlock switch wires are fried. I disconnected the wire that goes to the starter and quickly connected the battery again with amp meter. No current draw that time. I took out the starter and that spins up fine. Starter switch, interlock switch, and kill switch test fine.
I also looked around for any other wires that could be shorted to block, all look good.
Anyone have any ideas what could be the issue? I also could us a wiring diagram.
It ran great when I winterized it.

Model 158HA
Thanks,
Jon
