Can't find any information on the correct spark plug used for a 1988 50 hp force.

Need help very badly. I have a 1988 50hp force 507y8d and it doesnt have the surface gap style spark plug and im hearing that the spark im using can burn a hole in the piston. Can some tell me the part number or the correct surface gap plug needed i think its a prestine ign. Im not certain. Some one please help me.

Came stock with L-82C With the electrode sticking out.
You have Prestolite Ignition.Use what the factory calls for.
Some people substitute the permagap plugs.They come stock on the bigger 85/125 motors.
The wrong (HOTTER)plug along with too lean a setting on the carb might melt a hole but not likley.

There is no way the right plug is gonna hurt the piston.
Some plugs are longer and can(maybe)hit the piston.
Again not likley.
