My voltage went up to about 18 volts while running a FT. normal about 14 volts then droped to 12 volts not charging.
I disconected stator wires found about 20 + volts AC . So I reconected stator wires disconected red wire and checked voltage 0 volts Dc. I think voltage reg is bad. I ordered the universal voltage regulator that was in a post from MFG.
hooked up yellow wires to stator started motor had no dc output checked stator voltage at 0 ac. stator wires getting hot.
could i have a bad regulator.
