I just replace the impeller on my water pump and have re mounted the lower unit. My manual does not state the torque for the mounting bolts that attach the unit to the upper unit. Since it is aluminum I do not want to over tighten and strip the threads. does anyone know what these should be torqued to???

I have found a table in a Clymer manual that call for 160 in.lb. or 13 ft.lb. There is a note that it is 5/16" hardware.

Hope that helps.
