Hello all. I have a 1307HA Chrysler. I posted some pics of it some time ago under the title of 1972 Chrysler 130 model 1307HA Are the worth putting money into. The motor turns over and I have power to the coil but no spark out of the coil. I am in need a diagram of what the wiring should look like after a coil conversion. While tinkering today I found a red and white wire that dead end on the coil side of the motor. they are both connected to the wire block. The white should be for the tack and the red should be for the battery according to the tag on the motor. I tested both wires and found the red to be live when the key is on. I need to know where this wire belongs. My guess is this is the cause of the lack of spark.

Thanks

Best bet is to get a repair manual like a Seloc manual.. Are they worth putting money into??? Sure but I think its best to keep your investment low but they seem to be great old motors if you find a good one.. try Craigslist for another parts motor if you think you're into it. I found a motor that was a great motor for $60.. Testing for good compression is a must.. Short of buying a manual try this site for wiring diagrams.. http://www.maxrules.com/fixforcewiring.html

Thanks for the link. Most of the schematics are for CDI systems. However, there is one for 75-105HP battery ignition with alternator. Would this be a good one to use since my motor has been converted to a coil system?
