I have a 50 force outboard. i am currently replacing the head gasket and i separated the head to clean the water jacket. Is the water supposed to flow around the entire head? If so i probably have some holed that are sealed off with corrosion.
thanks

Re: force head

Pictures. Pull the plate off the side and clean under there as well. Be careful with the bolts.....

You'll see the water passages, and it takes some time cleaning.

Re: force head

I found a small tube that is right behind the thermostat in the motor. It is crushed and i cant seem to see its function and i do not see anything like it in a manuel or on parts listings. The tube is probably 1/4 inch and about 2 inchs long.
