85hp Force Cold Starts

My 1988 85hp Force starts hard almost every time I take her out.


When cold-

The motor will crank for 15-30 seconds before she fires up. Once it fires up- it will run for about a minute then stall out (almost everytime). I crank it up and it will fire up again after a few seconds and run just fine.

Any ideas on what could make my cold starting less than a 3 minute process?

The same engine - the same behaviour. I think it's the nature of this beast

Don't sweat it, mine is a 1985 85HP Force & it does the exact same thing. As stated above: Nature of the beast.
