How hard and what ecactly do you have to do to install a temp gauge on a 1995 force 40 HP Thanks Alot

If you can find a gauge and a temp sending unit, the install is not to difficult.

But for the time and money, you would be better off installing a water pressure gauge.

The kit is about 50 or $60.
Plastic tube connects to top of powerhead above the thermostat.
Run the tube to the helm and attach to the gauge.

It will give you proof positive of water flow thru the powerhead, and will react almost instantly to a blockage or impeller failure.

It will also show lower and lower water pressure as the impeller get old and weak, indicating when you should replace the impeller.
