Hi ... I recently bought 1986 125hp force and its rough. When i tried to get the cylinder head off, 2 of the bolt heads sheared off and i had to grind a 3rd off. However, no matter what i try i cant get the head to release from the block. I can get some movement but the remaining now 2 studs are holding tight, even thought the bolt heads are sheared off (clean break), and despite pb fluid etc, etc and some local levering, mild persuasion with a hammer and wood block..... it wont budge.

Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

I'm not one for using a hot wrench on aluminum, but sometimes a torch is necessary.Just at the trouble spots the studs.J

Others have touted a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF. No personal experience.
