I bought a this boat and everything works great but can't find the diagram for the reverse lock for this year of motor. I need to see if parts are available and how to put together. The metal flap that locks onto the trim bar is attached and a L shaped handle (small and located bottom of housing of motor) is there but nothing inbetween. Any help is greatly appreciated since I can't go into reverse without motor flipping up.

The L shaped handle is mounted to a shaft. On the shaft sould be a plastic cam. attached between the cam and lock plate should be a stainless rod, threaded at the bottom. The locking plate should be spring loaded.

Until you can find the parts, you can simply attach a length of wire or heavy fishing leader to the lock plate and work it by hand. Pull up on the plate until the engine is lowered onto the tilt bar then let go. The spting loaded plate will snap over the bar, locking the engine down for reverse.
