I have a force 120 outboard and am new to boats,

I have one spark plug that wont fire, I have repplaced the plugs and tested the cables and tested the coil (the black box the non spark plug end of the lead goes into) and it appears the same plug wont fire any of the coils.

Does anyone have any clue what I should check next?

Also the plug at fault has two pairs of wires I can see one earths and one goes up under the fly wheel, where do the other two go one is paired with the black earth and the other is paired with the wire to the fly wheel.

Need to know the year of your motor. There are several different ignition systems used.

try switch the CDI boxes around I have a 85 hp and after going thourgh every thing thanks to the guys on hear I found out that it was the CDI that was bad. change it and all 3 cyl got spark. I did mine with a ohms meter with the key off i went thourgh the wiring and found that the CDI pack powering the # 3 was bad. get your self a manual it a big help.
