Hi am trying to revive my 1968 35 HP Chrysler made Viking outboard. Hasn't been started since 1995. Plugs in it were champion J4J and look in bad shape.
I have a manual that calls for Champion H4J. I have had recommendations to replace J4J with J4C and also to use L82C. I want to give the old beast the best chance at starting so any recommendation on best plugs to use instead of the H4J (which is not available) would be appreciated.

Use the J4J or J4C.- L82C also is good for your engine.

Thanks for the feedback.... I checked both my service manuals and they both called out L4J (also no longer available) ChampionSparkplugs.com shows RL82C as the replacement so I have gone with them. I understand that this plug is same as L82C with a resistor so I won't give off all that annoying static which causes electronic interference. I'll post back after the long weekend if I get it going.
