What year is my Force OB ?

Good day. I've mentioned before that I owned a 1997 Force 15 hp ... (as per dealer ref) not so sure about the year anymore. The info plate is not on the motor owner said it fell off and obviously there is not sign of missing screws so I presume it was glued on.

Dealer pulled out serial number for hidden place which they printed on maintenance invoice as 286222 anyone can dish out the year ?

My curiosity has been trigerred by the fact that I am looking for a spare prop and all I find are 9" diameter props and there is only enough clearance for a 8" prop. so I donno about the year anymore nor can I find a 8" prop. (8X6)

Serial numbers OE203000 thru OE287999 were used in 1997

Mercury sells a prop for it.
part number FP715 8.375x 6.00


Iboats props are all 9 or 9.75 diameter, strange.

Thank you , I ll check with them. Already using that size .. in a perfect world I could get a chance to try a 8.375 x 7.00 if available.

Yep ... and there is definitly no room for anything bigger than 8" diameter prop on those OB,s ... beats me also ?
