I have an '89 Force L-drive 85hp. We went out today for a test run after replacing an exhaust hose. Before leaving the marina, we had an alarm from under the dash. From what I can gather on this forum, is that it is an overtemperature alarm. I did not want to chance any engine damage so I did not take it out into the lake (Ontario). Once we returned back to the dock, I let it cool for about 30mins, but the alarm was still active when the key was turned to the on position. Now that we are at home and the engine has cooled for a couple hours, there is no alarm when the key is in the on position. Can anyone help me out on this??
