Does anybody know if switching from Champion plugs to NGK plugs on a 1986 Force 125HP is a bad thing to do? I have always preferred NGK plugs but my local backyard boat mechanic told me that because of the "delicate" ignition systems that Force is known for, you should always use Champion plugs, because that is what they are designed for. Any comments would be greatly appreciated because I am new to outboard motors and I do not want to risk ruining my engine's electrical components.
