is this a shift cable problem on 73 chrysler 130

i kinda AJUSTED the shift cable and my prop would sin at maybe 1500 rpm at full throttle should i ajust this farther to make prop spin at 5200 rpm any advise would help thanks

A shift cable adjustment is not going to determine how fast a prop spins. It is either going to spin or not spin with this adjustment. Are you maybe thinging of a throttle cable?

not to sure i am new to owning a boat and i am waiting for the tune up and repair manual to come and i have to take it to the shop on the 5th
