85HP Force / Electrical Problem?

I have a 1987 85HP Force. It starts and runs great but it seems like once the engine gets to a certain temp it starts to bog real bad and eventually gets to the point where i have to almost idle back to the dock. Im thinking it runs a good 15-20 minutes at 3/4 throttle before it starts to do this. If I leave it sit for 10 minutes i can start up and it runs great for only about 5-10 minutes. Generally the more i let it cool down the longer it will run good.

I replaced the plugs, plug boots, thermostat and impeller last fall and took it out for a test and still had the problem. Decent compression on all 3 cylinders. This has got to be something electrical but i have no idea how to go about tracking it down. Any recommendations or ideas?

Test for spark on all plugs.

Then run it till it acts up again, then test for spark.

Could easily be bad coil(s) that are starting to fail when they get hot.

Could it be the Stator going bad? If it was a coil i would think it would be more of a miss rather than a total loss of power.

Anyone???? Could this be a problem with the stator, or is it most likely a coil?
