I have a 60 hp chrysler that sat for a few years and I am trying to get it going. The guy I got it from had it rebuilt and put it on the boat and let it sit.
The motor turns over and spits and sputter but will not run for more than a few seconds.

Thanks 4 any help you can offer..

Addressing both: When you pump the primer bulb, does it firm-up? Also, does fuel leak form the throttle body when you pump it?

The first thing I would try is to replace the diaphragm in the fuel pump, it only costs a few bucks. Next, I would pull the carbs off and clean them out if the fuel pump diaphragm doesn't cure the problem.
