I was running my 1996 Force 75 using a garden hose and it got hot when I failed to notice the hose fell off. Now it has power to accessories but not power to start. Can't locate a blown fuse and operator manual no help.

Re: Force Shut Down On Hi Temp

Hello billy and welcome to iboats. Will the starter gear go up to the flywheel or is it completly dead? When motor overheats metals expand and the pistons freeze up. After it cools down say after a couple of hours it should start again. If it does you are going to want to do a compression test to see what if any damage has been done due to the overheat.
