I just bought a 1979 Chrysler 140 HP outboard. The owner disconnected the ignition switch. I need to know how to wire it. The connections points on the switch are A, I, C, M, B, and M. The wires are red, yellow, white, blue, black, orange, green and a purple that has been taped off. Any help is appreciated! little stevie.

A - ? Accessory? Does the key turn to the left, past 'off'?
I - Blue, ignition
C - Green, choke
B - Red, Batt
M - White, Tach
M - Unused
My manual shows yellow (starting circuit) going to 'S', you don't mention 'S'.

Black terminates at the accessory block - ground

Orange goes to the overheat buzzer

Purple goes to the charge indicator light

And welcome to iboats!!

Aldo
