force 1992 90hp temp sensor were to find

need to locate temp sensor for 1992 90hp force already checked temp of motor@ lake with infer-red temp gun temp 135-140 @ 4500-5000rpm new thermostat,new water pump,backflushed motor. temp sensor small,size of dime,bi-metal disc,one wire, fits in recess of water jacket. local parts people at lubbock,tx cannot seem to find one.thank you for any help you can give.

Welcome to iboats and check with a Mercury or MerCruiser dealer. They should be able to order one for you. Now the question...Why do you need one? They rarely fail.

high temp alarm kept going off ,this is on a 24ft pontoon could not see weep hole the alarm would go off and scare me to death. this is not my first boat and i firmly belive in taking care of my equipment. i have installed a manuel temp guage.i can run this motor all day and 140* is as hot a it will get. do not know what else it could be other than the sensor.i truely thank you for your timely response.
