85 force temp sendind unit

how to test the sending unit on my 85 force im thinking i need to ground the unit and it will buzz im thinking

You will have to heat the head up to sufficient heat to trigger the alarm.<br /><br />TMD

If the sender is screwed into the head, then it's already grounded. You may have a defective sending unit.In a post from last week, that seemed to be the problem on a Chrysler. The poster hasn't reported back the results yet though.
