Head Gasket at a Mercury Dealer?

I am in need of a new head gasket for my 1972 85HP Chrysler. I've ordered them online before and it seems that they were a Mercury brand (although I don't remember what it was). I am wondering if I could just go down to my local Mercury dealership and get one from them, instead of having to wait a week to have one shipped. Aren't the Force and Chrysler Head Gaskets for 3 cylinders interchangable? If so, does anyone know a part # that I could supply the dealership?

Thanks,

Shane

I don't know if anyone keeps these in stock, but a NAPA auto parts store might, or can get them in a couple days. Their marine parts catalog is over 600 pages.

The part you need is either 85529 or 369529.

The older Force head gaskets will work.

TMD
