1992 Force 90 HP

I have a 1992 Riviera Cruiser 24' pontoon boat, I love it, but I have this terrible engine. Mechanic says the bottom chamber has no compression $1500 to fix, looks like I need a new power tilt and throttle as well. Should I dump the engine and repower? What engine do you recommend? 90 - 120 HP. What can I expect to pay? What is the best way to find out the value of a used boat and engine? Thanks!

Hey Tater, To tell whether to repair or replace is usually determined by how well the motor was maintained. $1500 is alot less than a new motor, but if your present motor wasn"t taken care of , it might just be the start of many problems.
