I just bought a 1974 Chrysler 15hp model#152HB for a kicker and I need some help. The motor has not been started in years so I pulled the carb to go through it. My ? is how many turns out do I set the air mixure screw when tuning the carb. I don,t have a manual for this so I sure could use some HELP!!!!!

Re: Chrysler 15 hp

Just got on this forum yesterday, so this reply may be redundant for you.

My Seloc manual covering '62 to '84 Chrysler recommends opening the idle mixture screw one full turn after carb overhaul. When you get the motor running and warmed up slowly open it up more till RPM goes down and engine is close to stalling due to flooding.

Next close it slowly until engine speed drops due to starvation but DON'T LET IT!!

Finish by setting idle mixture halfway between these two extremes.

This is pretty standard stuff for setting all carburater idle mixture.
