Force 9.9 female barb connector issue

Ordered female Barb connector but will not lock on fits perfectly but will not Lock. Here is a pic of male barb connector off of motor with purchased female that won't lock on. The male Barb's that I see in stores do not have that extended shaft that my fuel hose clamps on. Well it won't let me add attachment.
Also whenever I enter my serial number into websites they always come back unknown.

Thanks Jerry. Links wouldnt work but I do know now there are multiple fittings for that yr.

Yes, among other things the fuel connectors are a real (*$%$%&^@@^@ on these motors...
