new kill switch

Alldodge I bought a used evinrude and the wiring diagram you posted works great on it but it does not have push to choke. I had to add another switch but I tried the push to choke and it would blow a fuse on the evinrude. Kill switch works great too wired just like the diagram, Thanks for your help

Glad the kill switch is working.
As for the choke, it could depend on which wire controls the choke, Yellow/Black or Purple/White, could even be another color

Force/ Chrysler choke wires are green.
Unless someone's rewired??

They are green on my force to, purple and white on the evinrude. Push to choke only works on the force evinrude you have to have a separate switch even though its an electric choke. Dont know why but thats the way it works
