Force 125 Lower Unit Swap Advice

So I bought a complete force 125 with a 25" shaft lower unit. My original is a 20". Do I have to pull the power head and swap the entire motor leg or is there another way?

Swap the mid section, or raise the transom???
Easier to swap the mid section.
​Then sell the lower unit and keep the T@T for spare parts.
