i have an 85 force 125. ive done a bit of work, and am close to done? i replaced the old fuel pump with a used one. to test it i took the fuel line off, gas pumped out, but not a ton. i placed my finger gently over the fuel like, and it sprayed everywhere. i want the fuel pump of my list before i finish the carbs and put them back on. does this engine have a high pressure, low delivery system? it seems that at least something is working right in relation to the fuel pump. is this what i should expect from this fuel pump? im guessing so, but i dont want to revisit the issue. i tried to look this up in search, but only found how to fix these pumps, not how they should preform. thanks.

If there are no holes in the diaphragm?? then it's probably good.
A stretched or ballooned diaphragm will produce poor results.
The pump is a low pressure 1-2 # at most.
IT only needs to deliver a small amount of fuel at a time.
