What would be the possible cause of water been in the motor hosing after a day on the lake

Motor horsepower, model number?

Where exactly is the water?
How much water?

Is the telltale or pee hole working ?

Is the motor running properly?

Just a guess at this point, but gonna say you could have a bad gasket on the water jacket, or a leaky coolant hose.

The horsepower is 40
The engine is running very good and the pee hole is working properly and if i had a guess of how much water i would say mybe half of cup of water
