Can someone give me the story on chrysler and force, i need to know if for example a 1980 chrysler 75, for how ling were force outboards just rebadged chryslers, will reeds of a mid90s 75 fit a 80 75? Im looking at parts interchange through the two brands

US Marine or Bayliner/Maxum bought Chrysler
That happened about 1984
​They rebadged the Chrysler and pretty much used the same technology till 1994/5 when they went with Mercury electronics and lower units.
​They used various parts when they took over the company's outboard division in 92??
The block was used in Mercury Sportjets and a BUNCH of other applications.
They used different Mercury parts as the old stock was depleted.
