Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for some help. I have a 88 17" Lund. The Johnson 70 ate the #3 piston and shop wanted what would of been equal to a remaned motor. I picked up a good running 1990 Force 90 with controls Model 906x90c. My only problem I have at the moment is finding the shift cables for the control box to engine. It looks like the ends that go on the motor clip on. Also is there a diagram for hooking up the cables. Ive been searching for a few hours and haven't found what I was looking for. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry about not specifying. It came with a U.S. marine control with trim and tilt and wiring just no the cables. Its actually that same exact one on ebay.

The cable just a base Morse 3300 or 33
Just make sure they are long enough.

Measure from the shifter location and around the transom to the center of the motor and add 4 ft.
So if it's 15 ft. from the shifter following the bends and turns.
You add 4ft .
That makes it 19ft.

You have the cable connectors?
The shifter is different than the connectors on the motor.
Google: force outboard cable connectors.
There are 3 different ones.
You'll need a short one and one with the spring loaded connector.

Thank you so much! I've been searching for 3 days and those cables and connectors are exactly what I need.

Too short is a BIG problem.
Too long not a problem(unless it's 15ft to big or longer.
I ordered cables for my boat.
They came and I had a friend trying to install them.
They sent the wrong ones.About 5 ft.too long.
The excess cable can make the shifting a bit harder the older the cables get.
Too short and they can actually pull the throttle back when you turn and can make the clutch dog go bad.
So longer is better, but not too long.
