Ok im back!
So ive got the engine up and running and seemed to sound like it was missing idk rough idle etc and i went over to the coil side and saw some arcing from the left side coil to the starter mount. I would assume this doesnt need to be happening? I took off the coil and didnt see any visible cuts or anything in that coil but I did see a small gouge in the right side one. Do I just need to replace both of them?

Before replacing them, try to epoxy over the gouge and see if that corrects both the arching and miss-firing. If not then buy new ones. You have nothing to really lose. JMHO

Like GM suggested, coat them in something.
The spray rubber coatings might help.
I use old inner tube rubber to go between the coils and the block.
