Want to start off and say, this forum has SOOOO much info.

I just bought this motor about 2 weeks ago. Motor just isn't running the greatest. First the motor would die when I shifted into gear. So I read that I just turn the idle up and that seemed to solve that.

After fishing all weekend and the motor running good, I did notice it seemed to smoke a lot, didn't think much of it since it is a 2 stroke. I started the engine and went to give it some gas, and it had no power. I let it idle a second and tried again and it went like normal again. Got to our last spot and fished and after some time I started it again and it did it again. No power, so I decided to bring it home.

Got it home put the motor back down and noticed that it was dripping gas/oil. Made a pretty decent puddle on the ground.

I was gonna start by throwing a new water pump and fuel pump in but have no clue what parts numbers I need. Thanks for any help.

1st take out the plugs and clean them. Then i would reset the idle mixture each carb to 1 turn out from lightly seated and then re- adjust the idle speed. You might be running to rich. that oil you are mentioning is probably unburnt gas. if you want more info look at the 2nd post at the top of the forum on link and sync of carbs by Frank Acampora

No Title

The screw on the lower unit at the bottom of the oil streak, don't remove. See pic.

Do a compression and spark test.

Does the ball pump up hard?
