water pump seal?

got a simple question, just replaced my lower unit after having it off for a month and I cant remember how this seal went on. it comes in the water pump kit and goes on the driveshaft I just don't know in what order. thanks

Forgot to give motor specs. 1990 force 120hp with 2 piece drive shaft.

Looks like it is the one that goes on the driveshaft after you put on the impellerhousing.
It will sit up on the impellerhousing (not in the housing).
Then you put on the driveshaft coupling.

You can check schematic at Crowly or Mercrusierparts.

Nordins right if your pump has the stainless insert in the pump housing.
They used 2 types of pumps and 2 sizes of impeller.
The older had a seal built in.
The newer needed the slinger seal.

Like this? That's what parts breakdown shows it just doesn't look like it would do anything there.
