Maybe someone can help me. I just picked up an 84 bayliner with a force 50 on the back. It fires right up and idles but gets a miss when it warms up. When I throttle it up the miss gets worse. It runs great for a few seconds and has a dead miss that almost kills the motor. I replaced the plugs and put food fuel in it. The lower unit is leaking black exhaust juice but I think that is a separate issue and the gasket is bad.

Welcome.
You have a serial or model #??
Is it a points or magneto system?
Do a compression and spark test.
If the comp is good? at idle the air/fuel adjustment screw could be the problem.
Points system? the points on one need work, or the coils bad.
Swap the coil and see if the spark follows the coil.
Once you get past an idle?? Then you get into the trigger or stator maybe?
