hey guys, I want to buy a different pitch prop for my Force engine. Its a 1989 125 on top of a 1989 85hp lower end. a bit of a mis mash but it works. For a 1989 85hp they ask if it has thru hull exhaust, and if it a single or dual exhaust. what am I looking for on my engine to determine this?

thanks guys

here you go (1st one is also known as non-thru hub - it exhausts through snout only, 2nd is also known as thru hub - it exhausts though both prop and snout)

IF??? your lower unit is truly an 89???
Your exhaust comes out the snout and the holes on the mid section.
The prop can be both kinds.
But use the newer style.I understand they perform better.

Skidad posted a pic of the older and newer, the newer wasn't used until 91
Even then the exhaust only came out the snout and mid section.
In 95 they started using Mercury lower units.
Then the exhaust came out the prop.

My serial number indicates its a 1989 85hp lower end. It looks exactly like the dual exhaust diagram. the book at work showed the same prop for mercury, mariner, force and mercruiser sterndrive. I should have it Thursday!

Where and what serial# or is it a part#?
What book did you use at work?
