saw an interesting deal on an L-drive lower - do these fit on the 85 and 125 hp outboards - seems the shift yoke is modified but I wonder if that is all.

I would leave it for somebody who needs it. Not worth the time or money. The only thing interesting about them is the fact no parts availability and nobody wants them.

It's the same as the regular Force outboards "except" it may not have the correct spline count for the drive shaft. Need to confirm that before purchasing.

No 150 L drives
The spline count is the same.
Some have the rubber bellows that covers the shift rod.
STAY AWAY from that one.

They only put out the 125 L Drive for 1 year. That's the first year it was introduced 1989.
Then the 120 in 1990 until they stopped production in 1992
You might have one that someone fixed up but no production on a 150

AS I see it from photos, not actual experience: The 150 CAN bolt onto the L drive BUT--because of the arrangement of the exhaust, it is incompatible. If you did want to modify and fit a 150 you would need to make a custom exhaust.
