Hello! My husband has a mitchCraft 1998 18 1/2 ft CC- purchased brand (1998) new from Mr Mitchell before he passed away, we are experiencing fuel line? Fuel pressure? We have been to west marina in nc twice today to find primer bulb kits- hoping that out problem was in the bulb or the connector to the motor- prior the boat would turn over- now it doesn't- can any one suggest more possibilities and suggestions? Thanks for reading and helping us!

Welcome to the forum. First things first. Exactly what is the problem with the motor? If not sure how to describe it at least tell exactly what it is that the motor is not doing that it is supposed to be doing and vice versa. Do you follow the standard starting procedures? Put motor in vertical, prime the primer bulb until firm, ensure control lever is in neutral and placed in fast idle position, make sure cooling water is connected or lower unit is submerged in water, engage choke system and crank over. Does it crank over? Does it sound like it is getting ready to start (coughing or sneezing)? If so continue to start again but this time without the choke.

When depressing the primer bulb does it gets firm after about 3~4 times? If not then you have fuel related problem.

The fuel line and squeezie shouldn't have anything to do with the motor turning over.
Get an owners manual. Check on Google.
Then get a service manual. Library is a good place to start.
Or buy one here on this site.

If the shifters moved it will stop the motor from turning over.
Wiggle it and then try.
Battery dead?
