2002 Volvo leak

I have a 2002 Volvo diesel inboard engine on a sailboat that started leaking right under the gear coupling unit. It seems to be coming from the sea water supply, since when the sea **** is off, it stops. When the engine is running there is no visible leak. The hose and clamps are in good condition. Not sure what sort of attachment for the hose is there under the gear body, but appears to be dripping quite a bit.
Is anyone familiar with this engine or has any idea what the problem might be? Thanks

Gear has two copper pipes that are attached to gear cooler. One of the pipes has corroded thru so that rubber seal can no longer hold. Replace pipe and seal.

Thanks for your reply.
That was exactly what the problem is. One of the cooper elbow was corroded so much and had little pin hole.
Thanks.
