Looking for some advice on replacing the steering in my 1972 starcraft holiday. I am looking at the Uflex ROTECH15FC ROTECH STEERING SYSTEM do people like these?

Also, I want to add in the steering arm. I have the older style system that attaches directly, It doesnt rotate as much as I like. Would I need a longer steering cable? to run it through the motor frame?

What is the length of the steering cable anyway? Im not planning on removing the cable till january and want to order it.

thanks!

My 18' holiday also needs a cable. If I measured correctly I need an 18' cable.

1.5 ft from wheel to gunnel, 12 ft to transom, 2.4 ft to engine tube. That is 16' then add 1.5' and round up and I'm at 18'. Sound right?
