I'm trying to connect a steering shaft that came with my boat to a 1992 Evinrude 30hp (engine mounted on stand for now). I bought an Evinrude part number 174244 steering arm to connect the two (engine may have been used with cables previously). There's no problem with left turns, but there's interference preventing full motion on right turns. Changing the trim position seems to help with the geometry, but there's a trim pin that's seized in place (PB Blaster and hammer not helping so far). Any ideas?
