I've got a 1974 Tri-sonic Caprice and it's dogging under load. Starts great, idles fine, can go slow but no real power. The boat has a vacuum gauge that sits at 0 and from what I've read about my problem a vacuum leak could be the cause. So, I followed the thin tubing from the back of the vacuum gauge to around the engine and found that it's not hooked to anything. I can't figure out what it's (the tube from the back of the vacuum gauge to the ?) supposed to hook to. I would make sense to me that I'm losing pressure because that tube isn't hooked up. Can somebody point me in the right direction as to where I should insert that vacuum tube ?
