What I am looking at doing is getting a SeaStar Solutions SL-3 top mount shifter/throttle control to run with this motor. I don't see any "kits" for adding to my specific motor. However, looking at the control rods it looks like I may be able to make something work fairly easily.
I think I am looking at the attached parts diagrams correctly for this set up. The control rod from the tiller handle attaches to the shift lever (as I labeled them there). I am assuming I can pull out the control rod and use one of the control cables from the SL3 to attach straight to the shift lever in place of the rod? I may need to come up with a bracket to fix the control rod in place, no?
