I have a 2003 Bayliner 175 with a 3.0 Merc and an Alpha 1. To my knowledge, this does not have power steering. The boat is hard to turn to the right when on plane. At idle speeds or with the engine off, the steering is fine to the left and right. I have not disconnected the steering cable,but since it moves just as easy to the right as it does the left in idle or off, I don't believe that is the case. What would be your thoughts? Thanks!
