Steering help...

Ok, I'll be the first to admit I don't have a clue, so any help appreciated. Put my boat in the lake today for the first time, and step 1, it floats! Yay! Step 2, the engine idles. Yay! Step 3, which was steer the boat away from the dock, failed. Wheel turns, but clunks, and doesn't affect the prop. TRide to upload a video, and pic, but won't work. Looks like a bar, with a cable out the end under the dash. Any help appreciated! Will try and reupload picture in a bit...

Get the Kit, complete helm, 'n cable,....

Can I get away with just replacing the cable, or should I get the whole kit and caboodle?

Ayuh,... Get the whole thing, as the problem is the rack or the pinion, that's what's slippin'/ clunkin,.....
