I have Twin Engine with Power Steering. Only the Port Side engine is connected to the steering.

I have an opportunity to buy a replacement Steering Helm at Low Price.
Presently on my Helm it is written;

LEHELM-SH5023
HELM-SH5075
It is a Single Engine Helm.

The new one I can buy new as the part number written :
singlehelm sh 5023
twinhelm sh 5075
It it a Double Helm for Twin Engine. I was told I can use it for Single Engine Only.

Can I fit this New Helm on my Set Up ?
Thanks

Unless your boat has two helms you only need the one helm station setup. You may be able to install only the dual helm station and it work with your application but I am unable to find the manual for the model. Suggest contacting SeaStar (maker of Teleflex) and ask them what your wanting to do.

It's normal for only one engine to supply the power to one steering ram and the other drive to be linked to the other

Ayuh,.... It sounds like the helm yer lookin' at is a lower helm for a flybridge helm to tie into/ through, to the drives,....

Nothin' to do with twin motors,.... it's for twin Helms,.....

probably thicker, heavier, more bulky than yer lookin' for,....

Since you are considering steering replacement and have twin motors, look into joystick steering. A bit expensive, but you can control boat movements, even sideways!
