Steering Cable

Hey guys while remodeling a boat I realized that the steering wheel will not turn. I know I need to replace the steering cable but I am just wondering if need a certain brand based on the engine? I know I need a specific length but I am just curious if Chrysler motors require a specific steering cable? Thanks for the help.

Need one which fits the helm you have and that the motor end connection will screw on to the other end of the cable. Just pulled my Chrysler rack steering out of my Conqueror, threads on the motor end appear to be 3/4 OD so 1/2 NPT
