Can someone identify this OMC part?

I am not sure what this black box is for... it's on a boat (Stratos 270 FS) I just purchased without an engine or batteries and doesn't seem to be connected to anything. Previous engine was a 115 Yamaha. I'll be installing an Evinrude intruder 115. Thanks!

I have no idea... It looks like their might be a heat sink inside, I guess I could take it apart and find out.

You might find luck with an omc part number stamped somewhere on it. Take good pictures of what it's assembled like so if you do remove you can recall the original state. What are the three wires running too. I asked about solenoid as it has 2 red power and a yellow which reminds me of solenoid power with yellow being connected to the igniton switch

Battery isolator. It's basically a diode. Let's you charge 2 batteries without the one with a lower charge drawing from the one with a higher charge.
