I have a 1977 johnson 140 hp I can put the choke on and it will start then die put the choke off and it will run I get to the water and do the same thing and have to put it in high idle and do that a few times if I run the boat up and down the water and turn the boat off it will start up if if I seat for 15 minutes or longer I have to do it all over again withe the choke
